Kwara State PDP Youth Leader, Adio Odunjo, has presented a set of Super Eagles jerseys from the Africa Cup of Nations to former Senate President, Distinguished Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, describing the gesture as a token of appreciation and solidarity. The presentation took place during a courtesy visit to Saraki's residence, where Odunjo expressed deep gratitude for the former Senate President's continued support for young party members.

Odunjo used the opportunity to thank Saraki for his unwavering commitment to the youth community, particularly for creating meaningful opportunities for young, dedicated members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He noted that Saraki's efforts have significantly boosted youth participation and engagement within the party, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose among young members.

He commended Saraki's decision to allocate slots for the 2026 Umrah to many committed young party members, describing it as not just generous, but strategic, inclusive, and deeply encouraging. "It reflects a leadership style that prioritizes mentorship, exposure, and reward for loyalty and hard work," Odunjo said. He added that such gestures go a long way in motivating young people to remain active and committed to the party's ideals.

The Kwara State PDP Youth Leader praised the seriousness, discipline, and growing political maturity of young members of the party. "The new generation within our party is not only energetic but focused, organized, and ready to take responsibility," he noted. Odunjo emphasized that this new wave of youth activism within the PDP is a positive development that will shape the party's future.

Odunjo highlighted the commitment of young PDP members to party ideals, grassroots mobilization, and constructive engagement, describing it as a strong foundation for collective success. He pointed out that young members have been instrumental in driving the party's outreach efforts and strengthening its base across Kwara State.

He called on every member of the party to remain steadfast and more committed than ever, emphasizing that the future holds significant opportunities for the PDP. Odunjo urged party members to work together in unity, putting aside differences to achieve common goals.

As the party prepares for its formal transition from opposition to a ruling government, Odunjo stressed that unity, loyalty, and dedication will be its greatest assets. He expressed confidence that with the right approach and collective effort, the PDP will emerge stronger and more united.

"Together, we move forward with confidence and purpose," Odunjo stated, expressing optimism about the party's future. He reiterated his commitment to working with young members to ensure the party's success in upcoming elections.

The presentation of the jerseys and Odunjo's comments underscore the importance of youth inclusion and mentorship in the PDP, with many seeing Saraki's gestures as a positive step towards empowering young party members. Political observers note that such initiatives could play a crucial role in shaping the party's trajectory and enhancing its appeal to young voters in Kwara State and beyond.
