The Kwara State Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Comrade Adio Odunjo, has publicly praised Prof. Ali Ahmad and Engr. Kale Kawu Agaka for their swift humanitarian response to the recent bandit attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area, describing their intervention as a timely and compassionate gesture that has brought much-needed relief to a community devastated by violence.

The assault, which claimed several lives, left many residents injured, and destroyed homes and other property, plunged the community into deep mourning and urgent need for assistance, drawing widespread attention to the escalating insecurity challenges facing rural areas in Kwara State.

In separate condolence visits to Woro, the two PDP gubernatorial aspirants met with grieving families, expressed their sympathies, and delivered relief materials, including food items, clothing, and financial support, to help victims and survivors cope with the immediate aftermath of the tragedy.

Comrade Odunjo described their actions as a clear demonstration of compassionate and responsible leadership, underscoring the PDP’s commitment to people‑centered governance, especially during times of crisis, and highlighting the importance of empathy and solidarity in political leadership.

He noted that the independent yet coordinated visits reveal a unity of purpose within the party and a shared dedication to humanitarian service, setting a positive example for other political actors and reinforcing the PDP’s image as a party that prioritizes citizens’ welfare.

The Youth Leader added that the PDP places citizens’ welfare and security above partisan interests, urging other leaders and well‑meaning Nigerians to extend similar support to affected communities across the state, and calling on government agencies to intensify efforts to address insecurity and protect vulnerable populations.

He emphasized that collective compassion, coordinated intervention, and sustained engagement are essential for the healing and recovery of communities devastated by insecurity, calling on community members to remain resilient and to work together with government and civil society to rebuild what was lost and to strengthen local security structures.

He reaffirmed the PDP’s resolve to champion policies that protect vulnerable populations and to advocate for lasting peace and development throughout Kwara State, stressing that the party remains committed to standing with communities in times of need and working towards a safer, more prosperous future for all citizens.
