Interfaith Harmony: Kwara PDP Youth Leader’s Message to Muslims, Christians on Sacred Seasons

In a statement released on behalf of the Youth Leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Odunjo Adio, the Kwara State PDP Youth Leader, extended his warmest greetings to Muslim and Christian brothers and sisters as they embark on the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent. He described these solemn periods of fasting and spiritual reflection as profound reminders of faith, sacrifice, discipline, love, and compassion for humanity.
He emphasized that these holy seasons call for self-examination, forgiveness, renewed commitment to righteousness, and deeper devotion to God. According to him, they are times when believers should strive to strengthen their spiritual connection and live out values that promote harmony and peace.
Odunjo Adio appealed to faithfuls to remember Kwara State and Nigeria in their supplications during this period. He urged them to pray fervently for lasting peace, strengthened security, unity across communities, and responsible leadership that would prioritize good governance and restore genuine hope to the people.
He described the current moment as critical for reflection, not only spiritually but also as a society. He noted that the values of tolerance, justice, and collective responsibility are essential for building a safer and more prosperous Kwara State.
The youth leader called on citizens to reject violence and embrace peaceful coexistence, emphasizing that unity across religious and ethnic lines is key to overcoming challenges facing the state and nation.
He expressed hope that prayers offered during Ramadan and Lent would be accepted and that sacrifices made by faithfuls would be rewarded abundantly by God. He prayed for homes to be filled with peace, mercy, and divine blessings throughout these sacred seasons.
Odunjo Adio encouraged young people to take active roles in promoting peace and development, noting that their energy and commitment are vital for shaping a better future for Kwara State.
