Senator Ekundina Segun Elvis has thrown his weight behind Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Babtee's bid for the presidency of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). In a press statement, Senator Ekundina praised Babtee's exceptional leadership qualities, dedication, and contributions to NANS and human development.

The senator highlighted Babtee's remarkable antecedents as a committed and visionary NANS executive, citing his roles as Vice President and Senate President, where he strengthened internal structures, promoted unity, and ensured NANS remained focused on advocacy and dialogue.

Babtee's leadership philosophy, anchored on service, inclusiveness, and integrity, has inspired confidence across campuses nationwide, Ekundina noted. The senator believes Babtee's experience and vision make him the ideal candidate for the NANS presidency.

Ekundina revealed that he and other stakeholders had decided not to contest the presidency, opting instead to support Babtee's candidacy. This decision, he said, was based on shared ideals, mutual understanding, and confidence in Babtee's ability to deliver purposeful leadership.

The senator commended Babtee's commitment to human capacity development and youth empowerment, citing numerous opportunities he has facilitated for student leaders, including leadership trainings, scholarships, and employment placements.

Ekundina urged all stakeholders, student leaders, and Nigerians to support Babtee's candidacy, emphasizing that his leadership would bring continuity, competence, and credibility to NANS.

He called on students to rise above personal interests and rally behind Babtee, who represents a vision for a stronger, more united, and progressive NANS.

The senator's endorsement is seen as a significant boost to Babtee's campaign, given Ekundina's influence and reputation in Nigerian politics.

Babtee's candidacy has generated excitement among NANS supporters, who believe he has the right blend of experience, vision, and leadership skills to take the association forward.

The NANS presidential election is expected to be keenly contested, but with Ekundina's support, Babtee is emerging as a strong frontrunner.
